An interview with 2020 WSOP Online Summer Series bracelet winner and poker YouTuber Ethan ’Rampage Poker’ Yau. An interview in which we get to know Ethan Yau a little better. Calum Grant speaks with the newly-minted 2020 WSOP Online Summer Series bracelet winner, who live-streamed the tournament right until his big winning moment. The eSports community was rocked on Sunday after a competitor opened fire at a Madden tournament in Jacksonville, killing three people including himself. The execution-style rampage, captured on a live stream, has hit close to home with some members of the poker community.
The killing spree, which reportedly stemmed from the gamer’s elimination from the EA Sports-sanctioned tournament, prompted Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton to say on Twitter that metal detectors are now needed in many public spaces in America.
“It’s a sad state of affairs but it should be obvious by now that if we want to curb senseless shootings (inside buildings anyway), we need to install metal detectors at every school, arena, and store/building where there is substantial traffic,” Sexton wrote.
Though Sexton didn’t mention poker specifically, his tweet implied that he believes casinos across the country need to take another look at their security. Card Player reached out to Sexton to elaborate on his comments.
Poker hands are not ranked in the same order as 5-card poker. 3-card poker hands are ranked in the following order of seniority: Straight Flush; Three of a Kind; Straight; Flush; Pair; Ace High or Less. The hand A-K-Q is the highest straight and the hand 3-2-A is the lowest one in three card poker. If the player made his ANTE and has a straight or higher, he receives an ANTE Bonus. This payout is made. 3 card hand values: The first thing you will probably notice from the hand rankings list below is that a straight has a higher ranking than a flush. That’s simply because there are fewer ways to make a 3 card straight than a 3 card flush. As in most poker games, aces play both high and low to a straight. Three card poker odds and payouts. We described the standard 1:1 payouts in the 3 card poker rules outlined above, but those are just one part of this game. The excitement jumps up a few notches because three card poker also includes an ante bet bonus. It completely depends whether you have a Pair or higher on the total three card hand regardless if dealer beats you or even qualifies. Player would get bonus on the Ante bet. There are 25% chances that a player would be dealt with the pair or better. The payout varies from one casino to another but most have the same payout table as listed. 3 card poker rules chart.
“Sadly, I’ve always worried about some poker player who went broke or felt he got a bad ruling to come back and start blasting. It’s a concern,” the poker legend told Card Player. “I predict casinos will all go to metal detectors in the not-too-distant future.”
It’s been less than a year since nearly 60 people were shot to death at a country music concert off the Las Vegas Strip. Despite the eSports tournament bloodbath happening in Florida, the carnage also hits close to home for Las Vegas itself.
The high-stakes world of eSports and betting are becoming increasingly intertwined. There’s a 30,000-square-foot eSports arena at the Luxor on the Las Vegas Strip. Esports had a minor presence at this summer’s World Series of Poker. With the U.S. Supreme Court ruling earlier this year to allow for sports betting nationwide, eSports are expected to draw more and more betting interest as the industry develops.
Esports betting volume is estimated at more than $6 billion annually. According to Forbes, the eSports market is approaching $1 billion. The growing popularity of professional video game play has drawn interest from major sports franchises looking to invest and grow their brands.
The tournament in Jacksonville was a qualifier for EA’s official “Madden 19 Classic” tournament. The winner of the overall tournament was set to receive a prize of $25,000.
The shooter in the Jacksonville rampage was recognized in 2017 on the Buffalo Bills’ Twitter account after winning the Madden Bills championship.Related ArticlesRampage Poker I Won A BraceletTable Of Contents
On Sunday night, the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Event #26: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Grande Finale attracted 1,677 players who rebought 825 times. Bubble blast pokie machine game. The 2,502-entry field meant a $1,125,900 prize pool was created, and after 12 hours of play it was 22-year-old Ethan ’RampageP’ Yau capturing the bracelet and $164,493.99 first-place prize.
Yau, who streamed the victory on YouTube to thousands of viewers under his Rampage Poker moniker, is a self-described $1-$3 no-limit hold’em player who often loses. According to HendonMob, he has just $2,180 in tournament earnings from a pair of small cashes at Encore Boston Harbor.
While he may not be the most experienced player, he can now say he’s a World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner in his first-ever WSOP-related cash. Yau was slated to check out of his New Jersey AirBnB five hours, but one of the first things he did after the victory was send a message asking for a one-day extension. He also wondered how he was going to break the news to his mother, who he didn’t inform about his trip to New Jersey in order to play the WSOP online series.
’That you guys. My phone is blowing up,’ Yau said before closing his stream. ’Thank you so much for watching.’2020 WSOP Online Event #26 Final Table ResultsPlacePlayerPrize1Ethan ’RampageP’ Yau$164,4942Brian “LakersGTD” Patrick$101,6693Mohammad “Tmomoney” Mufti$74,6474Blake “shampainpopn” Whittington$55,2825David “reallytight” Kim$41,3216Jason “TATTOOMONEY” Scott$31,0757Matt “OMG_Obama” Iles$23,5318Joon “jykpoker” Kim$18,0149Michael “Mike91680” Guzzardi$13,961

Among those to make deep runs but come up short were Nick “samadhi” Binger (214th - $1,013.31), Chris “Robotbob47” Moorman (153rd - $1,351.08), Guy “PhilLaak” Dunlap (118th - $1,463.67), Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu (92nd - $1,576.26), Eric “circleball” Baldwin (68th - $2,026.62), Mark “Pegasus” Smith (39th - $3,490.29), and Brandon “Horus” Eisen (11th - $10,921.23).
Mohammad “Tmomoney” Mufti began the final table as the chip leader with Yau hot on his heels. Before too long, Yau vaulted into the lead after scoring a double elimination when his ace-eight suited hit a runner-runner flush all in preflop against Michael “Mike91680” Guzzardi and Event #7 champ Joon “jykpoker” Kim, who had kings and ace-king respectively.
Mufti then earned a knockout of his own when his ace-four held against the king-queen of Matt “OMG_Obama” Iles, who bowed out in seventh place. Following him out the door was Jason “TATTOOMONEY” Scott, who shoved the button with eight-six only to run into Blake “shampainpopn” Whittington’s pocket tens.
Five-handed play lasted for a while beforeDavid “reallytight” Kim flopped a straight and got it in only to see Yau runner-runner a diamond flush. Whittington then ran jack-ten suited smack dab into Yau’s pocket aces to fall in fourth, while Brian “LakersGTD” Patrick won a flip with ace-queen against Mufti’s nines to send the latter out in third.
Yau began heads-up play with 22.8 million to Patrick’s 14.5 million, and it didn’t take long before the two flipped for it. Patrick had ace-eight, Yau two reds fours, and the board ran out clean to eliminate Patrick in second place and send the bracelet to Yau.2020 Online WSOP Bracelet WinnersDateTournamentEntriesPrize PoolWinnerPrize7/1/20Event #1: $500 NLH Kick-Off1,715$771,750Jonathan ’Art.Vandelay’ Dokler$130,4267/2/20Event #2: $1,000 NLH Deepstack 8-Max919$873,050Louis ’PokeThese’ Lynch$168,5867/3/20Event #3: $400 NLH2,091$752,760Robert ’bustinballs’ Kuhn$115,8507/4/20Event #4: $500 NLH Super Turbo1,179$530,550Matt ’Bodeyster’ Bode$97,0917/5/20Event #5: $1,000 NLH Freezeout854$811,300Allen ’Acnyc718’ Chang$161,2867/6/20Event #6: $600 PLO8 6-Handed883$449,820Nathan ’surfbum’ Gamble$89,4247/7/20Event #7: $800 NLH Knockout Deepstack989$731,660Joon “jykpoker” Kim$103,1277/8/20Event #8: $500 NLH Freezeout1,479$665,550Alan ’GladiusIII’ Goehring$119,4007/9/20Event #9: $1,000 NLH 6-Max1,026$974,700Ron ’MacDaddy15’ McMillen$188,2147/10/20Event #10: $600 NLH MonsterStack2,074$1,119,960Ryan ’Im.Sorry’ Torgerson$172,3617/11/20Event #11: $500 NLH Turbo Deepstack 6-Max1,691$760,950Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka$128,6017/12/20Event #12: $500 The BIG 500 No-Limit Hold’em2,427$1,092,150Ryan ’joeyisamush’ Depaulo$159,5637/13/20Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Freezeout649$924,825Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech$164,2497/14/20Event #14: $3,200 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller496$1,507,840Joe ’fanofdapoker’ McKeehen$352,9857/15/20Event #15: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha663$629,850Guy ’PhilLaak’ Dunlap$133,7807/16/20Event #16: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo1,528$687,600Terrell “Heezahustla” Cheatham$116,2047/17/20Event #17: $777 No-Limit Hold’em1,382$967,400Pat ’IchiiKawawa’ Lyons$173,5517/18/20Event #18: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo DeepStack987$937,650Scott ’BudLightLime’ Hempel$181,0607/19/20Event #19: $400 No-Limit Hold’em2,545$916,200Kenny ’Chopuh’ Huynh$133,8577/20/20Event #20: $500 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed1,137$511,650Kevin ’therealkg’ Gerhart$97,5727/21/20Event #21: $777 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed1,361$952,700Tony ’Panoramic’ Dunst$168,3427/22/20Event #22: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo Deepstack1,579$710,550Allan “Treeoflife” Cheung$120,0837/23/20Event #23: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Knockout1,452$667,920Raymond “avant9201” Avant$93,7767/24/20Event #24: $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed2,408$866,880Nick “samadhi” Binger$133,4137/25/20Event #25: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Summer Saver2,155$969,750Nicholas “mrfinalt” Kiley$149,2457/26/20Event #26: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Grande Finale2,502$1,125,900Ethan ’RampageP’ Yau$164,494Rampage Poker HoodieWhat’s Coming Up?
